On the other hand, the Mumbai Police said that yesterday, 8-year-old Vidya Santosh Bansode, who was returning home from school in Mumbai’s Dahisar area, died after being crushed by a dumper. This incident was captured in CCTV. Dahisar police registered a case against the dumper driver Mukesh Dhale under section 304(A) of IPC and arrested the driver.

Along with this, Sub-Inspector Sandeep Yasane of Dahisar Police Station told that, “The incident took place at Rawalpada Road, Dahisar at 12.35 pm, when 8-year-old Vidya Santosh Bansode was walking on the road with her mother.”

He further said that Vidya was returning home with her mother after dropping her elder brother to school when the dumper MH 47 AS 9413 hit her from behind. In fact, due to the metro construction work here, the road has become narrow in Rawalpada. The arrested dumper driver, Dhale, claimed that he had lost balance, suddenly turned to the right and hit the girl.

After coming under the grip of this dumper, 8-year-old Vidya fell and came under the tires of the vehicle, due to which she died on the spot. “The girl was taken to the hospital but she was declared brought dead on arrival,” Yasne said.

Following the horrific accident, Mukesh Dhale, a resident of Koknipada, Dahisar East, was arrested under IPC section 304 (A) for causing death by negligence. Now today i.e. on Friday he will be produced in the court.
