Crop Damage Due to Heavy Rain: Farmers’ wheat crop has been damaged due to rain in Punjab. To take stock of this, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann reached village Selbarah Bhai Roopa in Rampura Phul area of Bathinda on Saturday. Here he assured the farmers that the compensation amount will be sent to their account within 15 days after getting the crops girdavari.
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann interacted with the farmers. He said that compensation for farmers’ crops will be given soon. The government has a natural calamity fund, which will be released. Farmers who are tenants will be compensated. Girdavari will also be done in this, in which other losses besides green fodder will also be compensated.
During this visit, the Chief Minister stayed among the farmers for about half an hour. He told the farmers that the treasury is never empty. Farmers’ demands will be fulfilled.
