Counter Intelligence Amritsar and Tarn Taran Police have recovered an 8 month old child in 24 hours while conducting a joint operation. The child has been recovered and handed over to the parents. This child was abducted from Tarn Taran on the night of July 7. Police have also arrested three accused with the help of technical team. Soon the accused will be presented in court and remand will be obtained.
According to the information, the police received information on the night of July 7 that two motorcycle riders have kidnapped the child from Kairon village of Tarn Taran. The children were with their grandparents. Meanwhile, 2 motorcycle riders came and took away the child from them. As soon as the information was received, the police team came into action.
For this, the Tarn Taran Police has also taken the help of the Counter Intelligence Amritsar team. CCTV cameras installed in the area were searched by the police. In the investigation, the faces of the kidnappers were clearly visible in the CCTV cameras. After which the team became alert and started searching for the child. The police have taken three accused into custody within 24 hours.
The two accused have been identified as Jobanjit Singh resident of Raia and Jagjit Singh resident of Chohla Sahib Tarn Taran. The police have taken the three accused into custody and started interrogation. Tarn Taran police say that soon the accused will be produced in the court and remanded. Information about the intention to kidnap the child is also being obtained from the accused.
