The accused truck driver Gurcharan Singh is a resident of Meera Colony Mohali (Punjab). A team of CIA Shahzadpur was deployed on patrol on the Ambala-Chandigarh National Highway. Meanwhile, Mukhbar Khas informed that the truck driver Gurcharan Singh is in the business of selling drugs. The accused has still brought the Punjab number canter from Kurukshetra side and is standing at Dukhedi turn.
CIA Shahzadpur nabbed the accused driver from Dokheri mode near Mohra overbridge on the highway. The CIA searched Cantor. Meanwhile, a cut was found behind the driver’s seat. On opening the cut, 5 kg of poppy was recovered. CIA arrested the accused driver. Not only this, the police have also taken the cantor into possession. A case under the NDPS Act has been registered against the driver at Padav police station. The accused will be produced in court today.
