Lucknow . The problem of Indiranagar, one of the largest residential areas of the capital, has reached Defense Minister Rajnath Singh. What promises were made for the development of the area. What work has been done. Which work- promise is incomplete. What is the biggest problem at present etc. everything has been brought to their notice. The delegation of Indiranagar Residential General Committee met the Union Minister on Sunday at 5 Kalidas Marg under the leadership of General Secretary Sushil Kumar Bachha. The committee has submitted a memorandum demanding redressal of the problems. The Union Minister has assured that the problem will be resolved soon.

Encroachment on paved drain obstructed the drainage of colonies

Handing over the memorandum of public problems, General Secretary Sushil Kumar Bachha said that in the year 2012-13, a pucca drain was constructed. This nala passes through Amrai village, Shaheed Bhagat Singh ward and passes through Indira Priyadarshini ward till Kukrail Dam. The water drainage of hundreds of small and big colonies is done through this pucca drain. There has been encroachment on this drain. The stones are broken. Due to lack of proper water drainage, houses get filled with dirty water during rainy days. This is a big problem.

General Secretary Sushil Kumar Bacha said through a memorandum that in the year 2012-13 and 2013-14, Indira Priyadarshini ward Ismail Ganj first and second Shaheed Bhagat Singh ward sewer work was done under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Scheme (JNNURM). Sewer work was not done according to standard, due to which dirty sewer water gets filled in the colonies. It was also suggested to construct a general OPD in the government hospital of Indira Nagar C Block and a 50-bed hospital equipped with modern facilities on the vacant land of the hospital.

Devi Sharan Tripathi, Sushila Gupta, Sarita Verma, Vinod Chaudhary, Rahul Pandey, Sohit Singh, Chandan, Vishal, Subhash Sharma, RP Singh, Achhe Lal Verma, Monu Sharma, Nikhil Singh, Vijay Sahu were included in the delegation of Indiranagar Residential General Committee.
