Khatkar Kalan: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann invited the people to come forward to create the society of Shaheed Bhagat Singh’s dreams and the state government will provide full cooperation and coordination for this purpose.
Paying floral tributes to Shaheed-e-Azam at his native village, the Chief Minister said that this day reminds us of the great sacrifice made by the true offspring of Mother Earth. He said that the martyrdom of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Shaheed Rajguru and Shaheed Sukhdev will always motivate us to stand against injustice, oppression and oppression. Bhagwant Mann said that it is our moral duty to wage war against all the evils spread in the society.
The Chief Minister said that the state government will leave no stone unturned to realize the dreams of these great martyrs. He said that it is the duty of the Punjab government to ensure the progress of the state and the well-being of the people. Bhagwant Mann said that the day is not far when Punjab will emerge as a leading state in the country with the efforts being made by the state government.
The Chief Minister said that the Punjab government is committed to fulfill the dreams shared by Shaheed Bhagat Singh and create a society with communal harmony. He said that these young heroes of the freedom movement freed the country from the yoke of foreign imperialism by sacrificing their lives at a young age. Bhagwant Mann said that the Punjab government will do its best to create a prosperous society following the path shown by this great son of mother earth.
The Chief Minister said that the Punjab Vidhan Sabha has passed the resolution to create Punjab on the dreams of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Shaheed Rajguru and Shaheed Sukhdev on Wednesday. He expressed regret that despite more than 75 years of independence, the country is still struggling with poverty, illiteracy, unemployment and other social ills. Bhagwant Mann said that our government has already taken many steps to relieve people from these atrocities.
The Chief Minister said that our government has started many people-friendly and development-based schemes for the well-being of the people. He said that the sole purpose of all these steps is to create a society with the dreams shared by our great martyrs. Bhagwant Mann said that till these dreams are realized, our efforts will continue.
The Chief Minister said that the state government has decided to construct a heritage street in the village of Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh to show the honorable contribution of Punjabis and Punjab in the freedom struggle. He said that this 850 meters long heritage street will be constructed from the museum to the house of Shaheed Bhagat Singh in Khatkar Kalan. Bhagwant Mann said that this street will reflect the great contribution of the state in the freedom struggle, while also motivating the youth to work diligently for the country.
The Chief Minister also announced that a five-day setup of the court would be prepared at the Shaheed Bhagat Singh Museum at Khatkar Kalan. He said that Five D Creative will recreate the scene of execution of Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh so that the audience can experience that moment. Bhagwant Mann said that it will literally take the audience back to that era and keep the great sacrifice this young hero made for the country fresh.
The Chief Minister said that he has already asked the Department of Tourism and Culture to start this project. He said that this land is sacred for all Punjabis and its all-round development will be ensured. Bhagwant Mann said that he had also taken the oath of office on this holy land.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister honored the family members of the great martyr including Surinder Kaur, Yadwinder Singh, Pawandeep Kaur, Manjit Singh Dhaliwal, Satwant Singh, Gurmail Kaura, Kuldeep Kaur, Harcharan Singh and others by giving a museum and a model of the ancestral home. Before this, Bhagwant Mann paid homage to the martyr’s father Kishan Singh. They also offered floral tributes at the statue of Shaheed Bhagat Singh.
