Chandigarh: Student who fell from second floor of college, died during treatment

A BA second year student in a college in Chandigarh fell from the second floor. The students of the college and the people of the college management immediately rushed to the spot. He admitted the student to PGI where the student died during the treatment.

The student has been identified as Ananya, a resident of Sector-37, Chandigarh. The accident happened when Ananya was climbing the stairs to go to the washroom of the college. Meanwhile, she fell down due to slip of her feet and fainted. The student had come to the college to give the first paper of her BA second year. Today was his Punjabi paper. The deceased’s father Mukesh said that we had breakfast together in the morning. Then I went to work in Ludhiana. The sudden fall of the daughter was reported. On coming to PGI, it was learned that she is no longer in this world. He had his paper at 2 o’clock.

On the other hand, College Superintendent Pawan Sharma said that Ananya was brought to PGI at 12.25 minutes. The college management said that it is a matter to be seen why Ananya came to the college so early when her paper was due at 2 o’clock.

The police personnel of police station-36 are inquiring from the college faculty. Meanwhile, Ananya has been found to be very smart in studies. According to the college management, there was no such thing in his notice that could indicate that he was mentally disturbed.

Investigating officer Kuldeep Singh said that he had received information in this regard. Sector-36 police station SHO Jaspal Singh said that the matter is being investigated and the girl was not pushed by anyone.

The initial investigation revealed that the girl herself jumped from the second floor. Father Mukesh Kumar said that he has no doubts about the college. Ananya had gone home saying that she was going to college. SHO Sector-36 Jaspal Singh said that the post-mortem of Ananya’s body will be conducted and action is being taken under section 174.
