Case against revenue patwari and partner on charges of taking bribe

Case against Mal Patwari and partner: Punjab Vigilance Bureau has registered a case against Mal Patwari Amanpreet Singh and his personal partner Inderjit Singh posted at Dharod village of Tehsil Sahnewal of Ludhiana district on Wednesday under the anti-corruption campaign on charges of accepting bribe of Rs.7000. In this case, Inderjit Singh has been caught red-handed.

Giving information in this regard, the spokesperson of Vigilance Bureau said that this case has been registered against the said two accused on the complaint of Sarabjit Bhatia, a resident of village Nandpur, Tehsil Sahnewal. The spokesperson further said that the complainant approached the Vigilance Bureau and alleged that the said patwari and his personal partner were demanding Rs 20,000 in exchange for a report related to his new colony so that the land use transfer and no-objection certificate could be obtained. can

The spokesperson further informed that the deal was settled for Rs 12,000. The accused have already taken Rs 5000 as the first installment of bribe from the complainant and the remaining amount is being demanded from the accused.

After thoroughly investigating the information received, the vigilance team of Ludhiana range arrested Inderjit Singh, the partner of the said Patwari, on the spot, taking a bribe of Rs. 7,000 as the second installment from the complainant in the presence of two government witnesses. The accused Patwari was not present in his office and teams have been formed to arrest him as soon as possible.

The spokesperson said that a case has been registered against the two accused under sections 7 and 7A of the Prevention of Corruption Act and section 120B of the IPC at the Ludhiana Range police station of the Vigilance Bureau. The arrested accused will be produced in the court tomorrow and further investigation in this case is going on.
