A BJP leader was shot dead in Amritsar, Punjab. A resident of Jandiala Guru was present at the residence of BJP SC Morcha General Secretary Balwinder Gill. Meanwhile, two bikers came and called them outside and opened fire. Currently, he has been admitted to KD Hospital in Amritsar, where he is undergoing treatment. SSP Rural Satinder Singh has also reached the spot.

The incident took place around 9 pm. Balwinder Singh was present at his house located in Jyotisar area. Then two young men came on a bike. Both had their faces covered. Called the daughter and asked to call the father. When the daughter called Balwinder Singh, he came out. As soon as he came out, the bikers started firing.

Even after being shot, there was a clash with the attackers
Balwinder Singh was shot in the jaw, but he did not lose heart and fought the bike-borne assailants. Seeing the courage of Balwinder Singh, the attackers had to flee from there. After which Balwinder Singh has been admitted to KD Hospital in Amritsar.

Returned after campaigning in Jalandhar
Balwinder Singh was busy in the Lok Sabha by-election in Jalandhar. According to the information received, some time ago he returned after campaigning in Jalandhar with senior leader Keval Kumar. Kewal Kumar threw her out of the house and then left for Amritsar.

Police are checking the cctv
The police have started investigating the matter. The attackers had their faces covered, but the police have started scanning the CCTV footage. So that any clue of the attackers can be found. BJP leaders have condemned this incident. SSP Satinder Singh said that at present he cannot give more information but soon the police will reach the accused.
