According to the information, apart from Brij Bhushan, the Delhi Police also recorded the statement of Vinod Tomar, Assistant Secretary of the Wrestling Federation, before the SIT. Vinod Tomar is also an accused in Delhi Police’s FIR. It is being told that Brij Bhushan has presented some video evidence and mobile data in his explanation before the SIT. Police say the SIT will question Brij Bhushan further.
The SIT will work under the leadership of a woman DCP
Let us tell you that on the basis of the complaint of women wrestlers, the Delhi Police formed the SIT. A 10-member team has been constituted in this SIT under the supervision of Delhi Police, which includes 6 members including 4 women police personnel. This SIT is headed by a woman DCP.
Notice sent by NHRC
Earlier, the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has also sent notices to the Sports Authority of India (SAI) and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). The NHRC has sought a detailed report in the matter within four weeks. The NHRC has stated that non-compliance with the Anti-Sexual Harassment Act is a matter of concern which affects the legal rights and dignity of sportspersons.
