Due to radiation in breast or chest, its risk increases. Girls who start menstruation early and women whose menopause occurs at the age of 53 or 54, they have an increased risk of breast cancer. Women who do not marry or women who have children at an older age are also at risk of falling prey to this deadly disease. According to doctors, women who take hormone replacement or other hormone therapy have a higher risk of breast cancer. Apart from this, overweight can also make women a victim of this deadly disease. Women who consume alcohol can come in the grip of breast cancer early.
What are the symptoms and how to find out?
According to Dr. Sarika, any change or lump in the breast can be a sign of cancer. The discharge of blood or water from the nipple also indicates cancer. Not only breast, but there should be a checkup done if there is a lump in the armpit. Women can detect any kind of problem by examining their breast themselves. If any pit, lump or change is seen in the breast, then contact the doctor and get it checked. After the age of 40, women should undergo breast cancer screening from time to time, so that any problem can be detected at an early stage. Lumps in the breast can be detected through ultrasound and mammography. After this, the doctor can test for cancer with a biopsy.
