Due to overturning of a bike going on the National Highway in Khanna, the bike collided with the railing and fell from the main lane to the service lane. The biker jumped and drowned in the drain. The other was seriously injured. The deceased has been identified as Deepak resident of Gaushala Road, Khanna.

According to information, 4 friends from Khanna had gone to Nakodar on Thursday riding two different bikes to offer obeisance at the shrine of Pir Baba Murad Shah. They were returning on Friday morning. Motorcycle tire burst near Deheru village. During the accident, the young man sitting behind jumped and fell on the service lane. Bike rider Deepak fell into the drain.

Pedestrians pulled out of the drain
Deepak’s friends said that when Deepak fell into the drain due to a tire burst, an attempt was made to save him. Passers-by and the police tried to pull Deepak out of the turban. By the time Deepak was pulled out of the drain and taken to the hospital, he was already dead.
