Patna. Two people were killed and five injured on Sunday after an angry mob set ablaze some buildings in Bihar’s Patna district over a parking dispute. According to media reports, the incident is from Jethuli village.

According to local media reports, the brawl started over a parking issue and later two groups clashed violently. Which took a big turn. Media reported that at least 50 rounds of ammunition were fired after the deadly clash.

After this, the angry villagers set fire to the house and marriage hall of the accused. The villagers alleged that police officers were present when the accused opened fire and alleged that they did not bother to control the clash.

Patna City SP Syed Imran Masood said, “A fight between two groups turned into violence with one of the groups firing. 5 people were injured in this case. We have received information about 2 deaths. Seven accused including the village head have been arrested. Police will camp in Jethuli till the situation becomes normal. The situation is stable at the moment.”

The SP said, “The house of one of the accused was set on fire and it was brought under control. Some locals said that shots were fired in front of a police SI. If this has happened then it is a serious matter and it will be probed.”
