According to the report, the police said that the husband and wife have been living separately for the last 13 years. Vijay has demanded strict action against his wife Geetanjali for trying to extort public money and creating a fake death story.

Manibandha police station in-charge Basant Kumar Satpathy said that the police have asked Gitanjali’s husband to file a complaint at Bahanga police station as the accident took place there. Odisha Chief Secretary PK Jena has asked the Railways and Odisha Police to take strict action against those making false claims on dead bodies.

The Coromandel Express collided with a freight train on June 2 at 7 pm. Many coaches of the train derailed. Meanwhile, the Yeshwantpur-Howrah Express passing on the other track collided with the Coromandel coaches. A total of 288 people have died in this accident.
