Big relief from the High Court to ‘Hamdard’! Vigilance instructions!

Bureau Report: Ajit newspaper editor and senior journalist Dr Barjinder Singh Hamdard has got a big relief from the Punjab Haryana High Court, the court has told the Vigilance Bureau that Hamdard will have to be given a 7-day notice before arresting him. Barjinder Singh Hamdard filed a petition in the High Court and asked that the ongoing investigation of the Jang-e-Azadi Memorial be stopped and an investigation be conducted by the CBI. In this he also made Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann a party. In the 250-page petition, Hamdard made serious allegations against the Punjab government and said that they were deliberately targeted. On the other hand, Hamdard has got the sympathy of all the opposition parties of Punjab. All opposition parties came on a platform in Jalandhar to demand cancellation of the FIR registered against Hamdard by the Congress. Apart from the Congress, BJP and Akali Dal leaders were also seen in the all-party meeting. Congress leaders Pratap Singh Bajwa and Navjot Singh Sidhu were the first to arrive. Party president Sukhbir Singh Badal, Bikram Singh Majithia, BJP state president Ashwini Sharma, Sunil Jakhar, Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa, Balwant Singh Ramuwalia were also present on this occasion.

‘Action on real people no action on kataruchak’

Akali Dal leader Bikram Singh Majithia said that the Hon’ble government has not only attacked Barjinder Singh Hamdard but it is an attack on the freedom of the entire press. The person who gave such a big gift to Punjab, Punjabi and Punjabi people, AAP President gave him from Padma Bhushan to Padma Shri is being targeted. Jang-e-Azadi was created so that the next generation could follow the footsteps of the martyrs. But Maan is targeting Hamdard because he does not want to follow in the footsteps of martyrs. First, a message was sent to them that when they refused to bow down to the government, a vigilance notice was sent to them. Majithia asked how he wants to make Punjab by honoring people like Kataruchak. He said that CM Mann does not want those who earn the truth but wants 40 thieves.

Pargat Singh said that the government is strangling democracy

Congress MLA from Jalandhar Cantt Pargat Singh said that journalists are the fourth pillar of democracy. They bring out the truth, but the present government is trying to strangle it, Pargat Singh said that what the central government of Delhi is doing is the same thing that the Aam Aadmi Party is doing in the state.

Attempt to suppress the voice of democracy -Ashwani Sharma

State President of Punjab BJP Ashwani Sharma said that the Bhagwant Mann government of Punjab wants to suppress the voice of democracy, an all party meeting was called against the bad policies of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. Explaining the stand of Bharatiya Janata Party in this meeting, Ashwani Sharma said that the head of the government, drowned in pride, wants to silence the voice of those who speak in democracy to please their Supreme. He said that all people should rise above politics and raise their voice against the government.

Barjinder Singh did not appear before the vigilance

Barjinder Singh Hamdard, editor of Ajit newspaper, was supposed to appear before the Vigilance on May 29 for the investigation regarding the Jang-e-Azadi dispute located in Kartarpur, Jalandhar, but he asked for 10 days time. Now they have got a big relief from the High Court, the court told the vigilance that if they want to arrest the sympathizer, they will have to give 7 days notice.
