Bureau report : There is news of the death of 2 youth under suspicious circumstances in village Raipur Peerbakhshwala of Kapurthala. The bodies of both were found lying at different places in the fields below the Hamira flyover. A bike and a phone have also been recovered from the dead body. After receiving information about the incident, the concerned police reached the spot and took possession of the dead bodies and started the investigation.
According to DSP Bhulath Sukhninder Singh, they have received information that there are dead bodies of 2 youths in the fields under the bridge near the heritage haveli between Dograwala and Hamira. After which the police reached the spot and found 2 bodies lying there. In which there was a Sikh whose cases were open. According to the police, the deceased have been identified as Bikram Singh and Satpal Singh, residents of Raipur Pirbakshwala.
The phones of both are also coming off
SHO Hardeep Singh said that Bikram Singh used to take drugs. He has a card in the drug rehabilitation center. From where he used to take drug addiction pills. But nothing is known about the other youth Satpal Singh till now. The actual cause of death will be known after the postmortem report.
Rajinder Singh, brother of deceased Bikram Singh, said that Satpal Singh is his neighbour. Both had left home at 11 am. They searched a lot but could not find anything. Their mobile phones were also switched off. Rajinder Singh alleged that the police are stationed under the bridge and 2 houses are selling drugs in front of it. But the police just walk around.
The post mortem report will reveal the cause of death
The police have taken possession of both the bodies and kept them in the mortuary for post-mortem. The kind of situation is visible. It is being suspected that both the youths died due to drug addiction or non-availability of drugs. The rest of the correct facts will come out after the post-mortem report.
