Case registered against Gadkari for posting objectionable comments
The Cyber Branch of Nagpur Police has registered a case against a person for posting objectionable comments on social media with reference to Union Minister Nitin Gadkari. According to the police, accused Dattatreya Joshi made some reference to Gadkari in the post circulated on WhatsApp. On getting information about this, Gadkari’s office urged the cyber police to register a case through Twitter. A representative of a senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader’s office later lodged a complaint with the police in Nagpur, demanding strict action against the person who circulated these posts. An official said on Monday that a case has been registered against the accused under the Indian Penal Code and the Information Technology Act.
Three threatening calls were received in January also
