In the langar of Sri Harimandir Sahib located in Amritsar, the scam in the items of dry bread, juth, bran, roola, sacrificial maha and rice has reached to Rs. 1 crore. Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee has also come into action after this scam came to light in the auction and sale held from 1 April 2019 to December 2022. Two servants have been suspended and asked to deposit the money.

President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami said that the truth of the administrative irregularities in Langar Sri Guru Ramdas Ji in 2019 will be put before the Sangat in a transparent manner. It is being investigated and action will be taken against whoever is found guilty. Ignorance of any kind will not be tolerated.

A few days ago, this scam came to light in Golden Temple from April 2019 to December 2022. When the investigation started, first this scam reached 25 lakhs and then 62 lakhs. Now according to the latest report, the scam has reached 1 crore.

The investigation revealed that the money which was supposed to be deposited after the auction was not deposited at all. The flying teams that brought the matter to light are engaged in thorough investigation.

The flying department of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee has ordered to recover lakhs of rupees from the two storekeepers who were found guilty. If both the storekeepers do not deposit the money, then the managers who have signatures on the manipulation vouchers will have to deposit the money. In the investigation conducted by the flying team, around 18 managers, storekeepers, supervisors, inspectors etc. have been held responsible for this.

In fact, bids are made for dried bread and curd left over in the langar. These loaves are used in fodder for cows, but from 2019 to 2022, the money collected from them has not been collected. As the investigation progresses, the amount of fraud continues to increase.
