A motorcycle and a combine collided on Hoshiarpur road in Phagwara sub-division this morning. An ASI died in this terrible road accident. It is being told that this ASI was posted in Rawalpindi police station and was going to the Phagwara bus stand on a motorcycle to go to the High Court.
After receiving the information about the incident, ASI Kamaljit Singh, the investigating officer of police station Sadar Phagwara, reached the spot and took the body of the deceased in his possession and kept it in the mortuary of Civil Hospital Phagwara. The deceased has been identified as ASI Sukhdev Singh (55 years) resident of Amritsar.
According to the information received, he collided with a combine parked on the road near Khurrampur village. ASI Sukhdev Singh died on the spot in this accident. In this regard, the family members of deceased ASI Sukhdev Singh have been informed.
