At present, Bhakra is 3 feet away from the danger mark. Since last day, 80 thousand cubic feet of water is being released. People have been instructed to vacate the lower areas by Pasaran. On the other hand, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has also given a big directive to the minister.
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has directed the Cabinet Ministers and MLAs to visit the flood affected areas and has asked them to provide all kinds of help. Meanwhile, SGPC and United Sikh Organization have taken over the front in Rup Nagar. A motor boat has been given by United Sikhs. On the other hand, SGPC has started langar service from village Bhanam. NDRF teams have reached the flood affected areas. On the other hand, the administration has prepared a helipad in Rupnagar to evacuate people from low-lying areas.
The conditions of Hoshiarpur, Gurdaspur and Bhullath are not good, Beas water has entered many villages. In Jagatpura Tanda of Gurdaspur, the water has reached inside the houses due to the breach of the Dhusi Dam. Many houses are half-dubbed. Flood water has entered 10 villages of Dinanagar. Water has entered the villages of Mehtabpur, Motla, Halet, Janardan, Talwara of Mukerian. NDRF has taken the front in Gurdaspur. NDRF teams are helping people around Beas river by taking motor boats.
Many villages of Hoshiarpur are in the grip of flood
Due to Pong Dam, the water level in Beas has increased. Last night 1.60 lakh cusec of water has been released from Pong Dam. Which can be further increased in the next days. DC Gurdaspur Komal Mittal has informed that Beas water has entered the villages. There, Beas water is overflowing in the barrage. In the night, AAP DC Komal Mittal reached the people and appealed to the people to go to safe places.
DC Mittal said that a relief camp has been set up in Government School Bhangala. A relief camp has also been prepared in the Gurdwara. Apart from this, SDRF teams have taken over the front in the area. People are being sent to safe places.
