The police had already arrested the accused Shubham Jain resident of Sector 45 Chandigarh and Puneet Kumar resident of Nifirozpur. The remaining four accused were arrested yesterday.

On July 24, the police arrested a drug smuggler named Shubham Jain. During his interrogation, Puneet Kumar, son of ASI Punjab Police, was arrested from Ferozepur along with a country pistol. In the interrogation of Punit Kumar, persons named Pawanpreet Singh, Ravinderpal Singh and Chandan have been revealed. All of them used to supply drugs.
During the interrogation of Ravinderpal Singh, the name of Jagjit alias Jagga came up. Police have brought him from Ferozepur Jail on production warrant. He used to deal in drug trafficking while sitting in jail.
Terrorist networks were running abroad
Police interrogated Jagga and found out that Ferozepur resident Simran Singh is the real mastermind of the drug racket. He is currently living in Melbourne, Australia. The drug reaches India through Pakistani drug smuggler Arif Dongra and the money is sent to Pakistan through hawala.

Accused Chandan used to supply drugs coming from Pakistan. Drugs were transported from Pakistan to India by drones and bottles and by water. Chandan used to take money and send it to Pakistan through hawala on Simran’s request. Several cases have already been registered against the accused. A total of 7 cases are registered against Jagjit alias Jagga, while two cases are already registered against Shubham Jain.
