SGPC should make it clear about live broadcast of Gurbani from 24th July..All channels should be allowed to broadcast free of cost and free to air..If govt gets service opportunity then we will make all arrangements within 24 hours..

At the same time, Maan said in a tweet, “It is surprising that SGPC is requesting only one private channel to continue broadcasting the Holy Gurbani.. why not others?? Will they give the right of Gurbani to a family again for an indefinite period through the channel?? There is a limit to greed..”

It should be said that the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee has appealed to the managers of private channels to continue broadcasting Gurbani until their satellite channel is established, in view of the sentiments of the Sikh community regarding the broadcast of Gurbani from Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib and as per the order given by the Jathedar Sahib of Sri Akal Takht Sahib.

Shiromani Committee General Secretary Bhai Gurcharan Singh Grewal said in a statement that since the contract of a private channel is ending on July 23, Shiromani Committee will start broadcasting service of Gurbani on its YouTube/web channel from July 24, but on the demand made by the people around the world, Jathedar Sri Akal Takht Sahib has ordered the Shiromani Committee to continue broadcasting service through a channel until it establishes its own channel.
The Shiromani Committee appreciates this order of the Jathedar Sahib and the sentiments of the Sangat, according to which the Shiromani Committee president, after consulting with Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, has asked the PTC to continue the broadcasting service for the time being.
