Every day there are news of death due to white over dose. As part of the anti-narcotics campaign conducted by the Bathinda Police, the team of CIA Staff-1 got success when a total of 2 persons, including a woman, were arrested along with heroin and drug money worth lakhs of rupees.
In the office of CIA Staff-1, Sub Inspector Harjeevan Singh informed that Dhanula and Manjit Kaur, residents of Hansraj, have been arrested with 20 grams of heroin worth lakhs of rupees and eight lakh forty thousand rupees and a case has been registered against them in the police station civil line. A case under NDPS Act has been registered and further proceedings have been initiated.
Sub Inspector Harjeevan Singh said that Jagsir Singh Seera, who is in jail, had provided 250 grams of heroin to Hans Raj, who sold it to Wasakha Singh and another unknown person for lakhs of rupees and Manjit Kaur came to get 20 grams of heroin. C has been arrested on the spot and a car and drug money of eight lakh forty thousand rupees have also been recovered from them.
He said that many cases have already been registered against these two accused and they will be produced in the honorable court and remanded for further questioning from which many more revelations regarding drug trafficking are likely to be made.
