Bureau report : A call recording of an ASI Pahara Singh demanding bribe in Jagraon has surfaced. This ASI is posted in the Anti-Narcotics Wing of the Jagraon Police. A case has been registered against ASI, private driver and unidentified person after the audio recording came out.
ASI tells the woman in the recording that if she pays Rs 50,000 as bribe then no one will arrest her and her husband. She can sell drugs without any fear of police. The accused ASI Pahara Singh was transferred to Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar police station a day before the audio went viral. This action was taken after the complaint of threatening the woman and asking for bribe.
15 thousand was taken in the month of February
Inderjit Kaur of Myjina village has said in her complaint that ASI was threatening her over the phone for the last one week. He had already taken 15 thousand rupees from him in the month of February and now he was asking for 35 thousand rupees. The woman, Inderjeet, has alleged that the ASI had threatened her that if she did not pay Rs 50,000, he would implicate her in the case of smuggling more than 1,000 narcotic pills. She will not even be able to get bail.
Complained to SSP, recording posted on social media
Aggrieved by the ASI, they complained to SSP Navneet Singh Bains. Who handed over the investigation to DSP Satwinder Singh Virak. Meanwhile, the woman uploaded the audio recording of ASI on social media a few days ago. In which ASI can be heard demanding money. The ASI had already registered 2 criminal cases against the NDPS and a person in Bagapurana in Moga for framing a false case.

IG Kaustubh Sharma said that the matter is in his view, ASI has been transferred to Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar. After investigation, a case has been registered against him in Sitti Jagraon police station under the anti-corruption law, he has not been arrested so far.
ASI denied the allegations
