After becoming the president of Punjab BJP, Sunil Jakhar has started showing strictness on indiscipline. Jakhar has taken action against 4 leaders of his party in Garhshankar, Hoshiarpur and expelled them from the party. In fact, these leaders have been punished for speaking against the senior leaders of the party. Among them, Nimisha Mehta has contested the election on BJP ticket in 2022.
Among the expelled leaders from the BJP are Nimisha Mehta and her supporters Dalwinder Singh Dhillon, Kuldeep Singh and Gurpreet Singh. These four leaders are residents of Garhshankar in Hoshiarpur. The order states that these four are accused of violation of discipline as per Article 15 of the Constitution of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Thus, according to the decision of the state president in consultation with the disciplinary committee, he has been expelled from the party. Also, if any responsibility or task has been assigned to them, it will also be withdrawn with immediate effect.
Misbehavior was also done in the district meeting
This action has been taken against Nimisha Mehta due to alleged misconduct in a recent district level meeting in the presence of District Incharge Mohanlal Sethi. He allegedly used insulting language against former Rajya Sabha member Avinash Rai Khanna and accused him of working against him in the elections.
The party has expelled Mehta and his supporters Dalwinder Singh Dhillon, Kuldeep Singh and Gurpreet Singh from the party.
Nimisha Mehta left Congress and joined BJP
Among these four leaders, the most famous name is Nimisha Mehta, all others are their supporters. Nimisha Mehta was with Congress party before 2022. She was a strong contender for the Congress ticket from Garhshankar constituency during the 2022 assembly elections but the party gave the ticket to Amarpreet Lali.
Nimisha Mehta left Congress and joined BJP. BJP fielded Nimisha Mehta as its candidate from Garhshankar. She lost the election.
