Advocate Dhami said that it is the responsibility of the governments to ensure the purchase of farmers’ crops at the minimum support price, but it is sad that the farmers of Haryana are having to struggle for this. He said that the demand of the farmers to bring the minimum support price and the purchase under the ambit of the law is absolutely legitimate and the governments should not ignore it. Shiromani Committee President said that injustice to the farmers of the country is not right.
We support the struggle started by the farmers in Karukshetra of Haryana regarding the minimum support price of crops. The rightful demands of the farmers should be accepted, so that the backbone of the country, agriculture, can flourish. It is the responsibility of governments to ensure the purchase of farmers’ crops at the minimum support price.

He expressed regret that the Haryana Ad Hoc Gurdwara Committee nominated by the Haryana Government is not giving langar from the Gurudwara Sahibs. He said that when the management of Gurdwaras in Haryana was under the Shiromani Committee, at that time the langar service for the Delhi Kisan Sangharsh was continued continuously for one year. He said that the principle of Guru Ghars is to support the needy and the people who make rightful demands. This is as per the wishes of the Gurus, but when the government committees favor the governments instead of standing with humanity, it is directly against the Sikh principles.
Advocate Harjindak Singh Dhami also strongly condemned the Punjab government’s forced cancellation of the sit-in by farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal at Patiala. He said that the Punjab government is not doing good by paying against the farmers. He advised the Chief Minister of Punjab, Bhagwant Singh Mann, that he should appreciate the people’s sentiments and come out in the intoxication of power and take decisions in favor of the people.
