Bureau Report: The family has now made an official demand for an investigation into the death of Avtar Singh Khanda, a resident of England. The family has made this request to the Chief Coroner of England and Wales. This demand was being made by Sikh federations and Khanda’s family for a long time. But after the questions raised by Justice Trudeau on the Indian agencies regarding the murder of Hardeep Singh Nijhar, the investigation of Avtar Singh Khanda has gained momentum. It is being told that Nijhar and Khanda were connected to each other.

According to the Guardian newspaper, the inquiry has been requested by Barrister Michael Pollack. Those who alleged that the British police should have understood that Khanda’s life was in danger. Polak said, I am not saying with this claim that India is responsible for Khande’s death, but the situation calls for an investigation.

Pollock said that we believe that India is a law-abiding country. But the way his life was in danger and in the media he was being called India’s number 1 enemy, so Khanda’s death is suspicious.

Avtar Singh Khanda died on June 15. He was suddenly admitted to a hospital in Birmingham after a sudden illness. After the post-mortem, Khanda’s cause of death was stated to be blood cancer. The family said that no such medical record has been given to us now which can prove that he had blood cancer. Khanda’s mother believes that she was poisoned.

On the other hand West Midlands Police is claiming that they have thoroughly investigated the death of Avtar Singh Khanda in which we have not found anything suspicious. Khanda’s close ties with Punjab chief Amritpal Singh and Deep Sidhu were also revealed. In protest against the arrest of Amritpal Singh, the Indian embassy in the UK was attacked, in which the name of Avtar Singh Khanda came up.
