Now that his body has been found, it is being told that drug is responsible for the death. But the police say that the real reason will be known only after the post-mortem report. Meanwhile, drug addiction has destroyed the lap of a mother.

A minor has died of drug overdose in Munda village of Tarn Taran. The deceased was the only son of the family. There is mourning in the family and the village. The villagers allege that drug addiction is common in the area. The surrounding villagers come to buy drugs.

The deceased has been identified as Sahib Singh. He was only 15 years old, when his beard and mustache did not grow, he became addicted to drugs. Father Paramjit Singh and family members have told that many times he tried to get rid of drugs, but every time he started injecting again. The family members are now blaming both the government and the drug traffickers.

‘Government made false promises’

The villagers allege that the government’s claims of eliminating drugs in the area are false. We believed in the government that it would eradicate drugs. But it has been more than 1 year and the drug is selling more than before. Children, adults, old people are all addicted to drugs. The children who were brought up, drug addiction has been taking their lives for some years.
