Jawan Parminder Singh, a resident of village Chhajli in Sunam, has been martyred in Desh Kargil. After receiving the news, the families are in deep shock and a wave of mourning has spread in the village. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has expressed deep grief over the martyrdom. The Chief Minister interacted with the media with Sarpanch of Shaheed Dai village. During which the Sarpanch told that the second brother of Shaheed Parminder Singh Gurpinder Singh is also in the army. His father Gurjit Singh has retired from the army.
According to him, Parminder Singh was serving in the army for 7 years. Shaheed Jawan got married a year ago on October 2. Parminder Singh was serving in the army for 7 years.
The Chief Minister expressed grief
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has expressed grief over this. He has written in a tweet, “The sad news of the martyrdom of Parminder Singh, an army jawan of Chhajali village in Sangrur district, was received in Kargil. I salute the bravery of the martyred jawan for the country.

Expressing deep sorrow with the victim’s family, the Chief Minister said that the Punjab government stands with the family in this hour of grief. He said that Shaheed Parminder Singh proved his professional dedication by performing his duty bravely. The martyr’s sacrifice will inspire the youth to perform their duty with diligence and sincerity. He said that the victim’s family will be given financial assistance as per the policy of the state government.
