Ludhiana: Three students of the Department of Microbiology of Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) Kumari Pritiman Kaur, Kumari Riya Bansal and Kumari Swati Pandey were honored with the National Biotech Youth Award-2023 during the two-day Rastri Student Conference of the Society of Microbiologists of India. done
This conference was held at Krishna Institute of Allied Sciences in Satara district of Maharashtra. Students from different states of India participated in this conference. It may be recalled that 40 students from various states were selected as award winners in Microbiology/Biotechnology.
Kumari Pritiman Kaur did her M.Sc. Dr. Completed under the supervision of Shivani Sharma Currently she is doing her Ph.D.

In another news, Kumari Kajal, an MSc student in the Department of Food and Nutrition, Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana, has been selected for the prestigious fellowship program launched by the Food Future Foundation under The India Food Systems Fellowship. This fellowship program will provide an opportunity to enhance his skills and knowledge to bring about change in the Indian food system She will be part of the India Food System Leaders Network and strive to build a people-friendly food system to address challenges including hunger, malnutrition, poverty, environmental degradation, climate change and livelihoods in India.
