In Amritsar, BSF has again received a consignment of heroin. This heroin was dropped from Pakistan with the help of drones. BSF has recovered 3 kg 210 grams of heroin during a search operation in Dauke village on Saturday. The bag from which the heroin was recovered has a photo of football player Cristiano Ronaldo on it.
BSF found heroin tied with yellow tape. Along with this, BSF has also recovered heroin, two mobile phones and one pant. All this was put in a bag and thrown away. BSF suspects that this consignment of heroin has been dropped from Pakistan by drone.
It may be mentioned that in 2023, BSF seized 107 drones and 442.395 kg of heroin. In winter, the cases of heroin smuggling increase due to the fog in the border areas. Heroin is dropped from the Pakistan side tied to the drone.
The BSF and the Punjab Police conduct daily joint search operations in which heroin consignments lying in the fields are caught before they reach the criminals.
