A delegation from Iran arrived at Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib and visited the central Sikh shrine. The delegation also met with Chief Granthi of Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib and Jathedar Singh Sahib of Sri Akal Takht Sahib Giani Raghbir Singh and President of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami at Secretariat Sri Akal Takht Sahib.
In this delegation from Iran, Vice Chancellor of Al-Mustafa International University Dr. Dr. Ali Abbasi, Chief Representative of the University in India. Raza Shekri, Dr. Abbasi's personal assistant Dr. Murtaza Shani, University Deputy (International) Dr. Athar Jafri, Dr. from Delhi University. Ali Akbar Shah, was involved.
On this occasion, SGPC General Secretary Bhai Rajinder Singh Mehta, member Bhai Manjit Singh Bhurakohna, OSD S. Satbir Singh Dhami and convener of the Punjabi Language Promotion Committee of Delhi Gurdwara Management Committee. Rajinder Singh Virasat was also present.
During the meeting with the Sikh leaders, the delegation of Iran invited them to come to Iran and visit the Sikh religious places there. At Secretariat Sri Akal Takht Sahib, the delegation members were honored by giving a golden model of Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib, loi and religious books.
Regarding the meeting with the delegation, Shiromani Committee President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami said that this delegation from Iran was related to the university there, with whom there have been discussions to work under joint efforts in various fields. He said that in this regard, consideration will be given to take action on all eligible possibilities.
Delegation leader Vice Chancellor Dr. Ali Abbasi said in a conversation that Iranians have mutual relations with Sikhs including other religions of India, so various activities can be done with joint efforts in many fields such as religious history, Persian language, education, culture etc.
He said that there was a conversation with the Sikh leaders in a very comfortable environment and it felt very good to see them here. On this occasion, Additional Manager S. Jaspal Singh Dhade, s. Yuvraj Singh, Mr. Ajit Singh, Information Officer Amritpal Singh, Mr. Randhir Singh etc. were present.
