An accident happened with a family going to bow down at Sri Darbar Sahib, 2 people lost their lives

A family on their way to offer obeisance to Sri Darbar Sahib was hit by a speeding truck. In this accident, the couple in the car died on the spot. After the incident, the truck driver escaped from the spot. Regarding the matter, the police of Chatiwind police station have registered a case against the unknown truck driver and started searching for him.

In the complaint given to the police, Budh Prakash Singh, resident of Chak Tahli police station, Jalalabad district, Fazilka, said that he was with his brother Kulwinder Singh (35) and brother-in-law Surjit Kair (32) and children Armdeep Singh (7), girl Japjit Kair (5), Nawaldeep ( 9) Sri Darbar Sahib was going to pay obeisance by sitting in the car on Saturday evening.

Buddha Prakash said that he was driving the car and his brother was sitting on the seat next to him. Children and daughter-in-law were sitting in the back seats. When they reached near Mananwala around 11 pm, the speeding truck driver hit their car from behind and fled. His brother and sister-in-law died in the accident.

7-year-old Armdeep Singh and 5-year-old Japjit were injured in this accident. He was admitted to Civil Hospital in Mananwala for treatment. ASI Niranjan Singh said that after recording Budh Prakash’s statement, a case has been registered against the unknown truck driver and further action has been started.
