Cheema said that it is absolutely clear that no concrete action was taken by the police to expose the truth except sending the accused SHO Navdeep Singh to the police line. He said that this inhuman and horrific incident has exposed the human rights situation in the police stations of Punjab.

Let us tell that two brothers Manavjit and Jashandeep of Jalandhar city had jumped into the fast flowing Beas river from Goindwal Sahib Bridge a few days ago. After which it was alleged that he got fed up and jumped from Inspector Navdeep Singh, in-charge of Police Station Division No. 1.

Jashandeep’s dead body was swept away in the Beas river and reached the fields. The farmer of the village went to the field today after the water receded. While he was fixing the banks of his field, a hand and arm appeared. After that, he carefully moved the grass back and forth, then he saw blue boots on his feet. The farmer brought important people along and showed the dead body and made a video of it and put it on social media.

After the video went viral, the family members have left to see the dead body. The villagers have also informed the local police station about the dead body. Close relatives say that the boots and bracelets belong to Jashandeep. The farmer said that the man whose dead body was found is a tall young man.
