A big accident happened in Faridkot district yesterday. According to the information, the happiness of the youth celebrating the birthday party turned into mourning in no time. Actually, the car of the friends who were celebrating their birthday fell into the Sirhind canal. The accident took place near Machaki Mal Singh Wale bridge.
People pulled out the car but the three youths in it were washed away in the water. Divers are on the lookout for them. The three friends in the car had reached the canal bank with goods from the market. However, two other friends who were waiting for them there survived.
According to the information, five friends Akashdeep Singh, Sukhdeep Singh, Harman Singh, Jagmohan Singh and Davinder Singh from Bihlewala village reached the bank of Sirhind Canal near Machaki Bridge from their car to celebrate the birthday of their friend Akashdeep Singh. After some time, Harman, Jagmohan and Davinder went to the market from the car to buy food and drink, while Akashdeep Singh and Sukhdeep Singh stayed on the bank of the canal.
While returning from the market, the balance of the car suddenly lost near Machaki Bridge and it fell into the canal. The two friends sitting outside reached the spot after shouting. After a lot of effort, the car was pulled out, but nothing could be found about the three youths.
On receiving the information, police station Kotwali along with the villagers also reached the spot. Divers were immediately called. Sarpanch Pritam Singh of the village said that the age of all these youths is between 18 to 20 years. All were celebrating birthdays. While bringing goods from the market, the car suddenly fell into the canal.
There is still no trace of the three youths in the car. SHO of Thana Kotwali Gurwinder Singh said that two of the five youths are safe while the three youths in the car got swept away in the water. Looking for
