Baba Amarnath Yatra is starting from July 1. The first batch of Amarnath pilgrims left Jammu for the holy cave on Friday morning. After offering prayers at around 4.15 am, Lieutenant Governor and Amarnath Shrine Board Chairman Manoj Sinha flagged off the first batch.

Meanwhile, the entire atmosphere of the Jammu base camp was painted in the color of naivety. Devotees started the journey by chanting Bhole. This time the journey will last for 62 days. In fact, this time it is two months of Sawan.

A total of 2189 pilgrims were issued tokens for the Baltal route on the first day. Out of these, 135 pilgrims were immediately registered for the Baltal route at the Panchayat Bhawan Registration Centre.

Easy road from Baltal, 10 km wide road
The short route to Baltal is much developed this time. With the construction of 11 km road on the 16 km route, this road has become easier. However, the 5 km road is still narrow. Travel security is divided into five layers. ITBP is on the front near the cave for the first time. From the evening of June 29, the weather has started to change. It is possible that the first batch of pilgrims will be bowed down by the rain.

Everything from sims to warm clothes and raincoats is available
The good news for devotees is that one can buy a SIM with one month validity for Rs 350 to Rs 550 in Baltal itself. It is also manually activated. Raincoats, umbrellas and warm clothing and trekking equipment are available around the langar. Tents for accommodation will also be available at Rs 500 per day.
