Election on 5 seats of Bihar Legislative Council in April, dozens of candidates engaged in preparation, started public relations work

Elections are expected to be held on five seats of Bihar Legislative Council in the month of April. Dozens of candidates from five constituencies have started their preliminary preparations to reach the Council. The constituency of five seats is spread over 26 districts of the state. In view of this, the candidates have engaged in means of communication in each of their districts and blocks.

Publication of final voter list on February 20

The five constituencies where elections are to be held include Kosi Teachers’ Constituency, Gaya Teachers’ Constituency, Saran Graduates’ Constituency and Gaya Graduates’ Constituency. Apart from this, the by-election of Saran teacher’s constituency is to be held. The final voter list of Saran teacher’s constituency will be published on February 20. In such a situation, it is believed that along with the election of four Legislative Council seats, the election of Saran teacher’s constituency will also be held.

Term of four seats ends in May

Among the four seats in the Legislative Council whose term is ending in May, Awadhesh Narayan Singh, elected member from Gaya graduate constituency, Virendra Narayan Yadav, elected member from Saran graduate constituency, Sanjeev Shyam Singh elected from Gaya teacher constituency seat and the seat of Sanjeev Kumar Singh elected from Kosi Teachers constituency.

Constituency-wise, Kosi teachers constituency is spread over the districts of Purnia, Supaul, Madhepura, Saharsa, Khagaria, Munger, Lakhisarai, Sheikhpura, Jamui, Banka, Bhagalpur, Katihar, Araria and Kishanganj. Similarly, Saran graduate and Saran teachers constituencies include Saran, West Champaran, East Champaran, Gopalganj and Siwan districts.

Candidates have already started preparing for the election

The Gaya Teachers’ and Gaya Graduates’ constituencies include Gaya, Jehanabad, Aurangabad, Arwal, Rohtas, Kaimur, Bhojpur and Buxar districts. In such a situation, only two months are left for the election. Apart from the recognized political parties, independent candidates have already started preparing for the elections. The maximum number of candidates will be in graduate constituencies. Experts say that in Gaya graduate and Saran graduate constituencies, a dozen to one and a half dozen candidates have started preparing for the election.
