Chandigarh: Shiromani Akali Dal protested in Chandigarh today over the issue of SYL. Akali Dal surrounded the residence of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. The police stopped Shiromani Akali Dal workers after which the atmosphere became very tense. Meanwhile, Chandigarh Police used water cannon.
On this occasion, Shiromani Akali Dal President Sukhbir Singh Badal said that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has run away after giving the challenge of debate. Bhagwant Maan has bowed down to Kejriwal on SYL. He said that the Aam Aadmi Party tortures those who talk about Punjab.
Sukhbir Singh Badal said that earlier Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann challenged to debate when he accepted then Chandigarh Police stopped the Akali leaders from proceeding. Sukhbir said that a DSP of Chandigarh Police has clearly said that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has given orders to stop the Akalis.
Badal said that when the then Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal used to meet any opposition party at his residence, he used to meet him at the gate, but today the Chief Minister has run away after challenging him.

Badal said that he had to argue with the Chief Minister and not to besiege his house. If the house had to be surrounded, they would bring a large number of Akali leaders and workers.
On the other hand, Shiromani Akali Dal’s senior leader Bikram Singh Majithia said during the protest that BJP should oppose the survey team. Aam Aadmi Party and Congress are running ficam match. Aam Aadmi Party will be taught lessons by the youth of Punjab. The Chief Minister had left for Madhya Pradesh before the Shiromani Akali Dal stormed the Chief Minister’s official residence in Chandigarh.
