Mumbai: Home Ministry’s announcement for Agniveer The Central Government has today made another big announcement regarding Agniveer. Government has announced 10% reservation for ex-firemen in BSF. Along with this, relaxation in the criteria of upper age limit has also been announced.

The Ministry of Home Affairs announced this through a notification on March 6.

However, the age relaxation will depend on whether they are part of the first batch or subsequent batches. The Ministry of Home Affairs has announced this through a notification on 6 March. The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) made the announcement vide clauses (b) and (c) of sub-section (2) of section 141 of the Border Security Force Act, 1968 through a notification issued. The Central Government has now exercised the powers to amend the Border Security Force, General Duty Cadre Recruitment Rules, 2015 to make the Border Security Force, General Duty Cadre Rules, 2023. Which will be effective from 9 March.
