Advocate Dhami releases illustrated book 'Khooni Dastan' about Jaito Morche

Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami also released an illustrated book depicting the history of Jaito Morche through photographs by the Shiromani Committee today on the first day of the centenary celebrations. He said on this occasion that Jaito's front has great importance in Sikh history, for which an illustrated book has been prepared to take it to the next generation.

He said that the historian Harvinder Singh Khalsa has included many important photographs of that time in this book, as well as recorded the details of all the marches and martyrs of Jaito's front. Advocate Dhami said that this book will take its place among the congregation as a special testimony of the 100 year celebrations of Jaito Morche. On this occasion, the Shiromani Committee President also inaugurated the picture exhibition, in which various pictures related to the Gurdwara Reform Movement have been put up to familiarize the people with the history.

Speaking on this occasion, Advocate Dhami said that the centenary celebrations which started today will continue till February 21. He said that in the event on February 20, students of different Gurmati colleges will perform Gurbani Kirtan with stringed instruments and students of schools and colleges will share history through poetry, poetry, dhadi art and speech.

Along with this, there will also be a grand Amrit Sanchar event, in which kakaras will be given without offering. He also told that Gatke competitions are also being conducted. He said that the main event of the centenary will be organized on February 21 on a grand scale, in which prominent figures of the panth and ragi, dhadi jatha will arrive. During the main event, the families of martyrs related to Jaito Morche will also be honoured.

He said that although the Shiromani Committee has reached many families, but still if there is any family left, they should also bother to reach, so that everyone can be respected.
