Earlier, there was a mistake in the definition of Sikh in the Shiromani Committee voting form, which was corrected after protests were filed by Sikh organizations, but even now there are reports that non-Sikhs are being nominated for Gurdwara elections in many places. Votes are being made.
He clearly said that for the eligibility of a Shiromani Committee voter, it is mandatory to be a 'Sikh' who is the holder of the teachings of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. If non-Sikh voter forms are filled for gurdwara elections, it is directly a covert government attempt to open avenues for external interference in the religious affairs of Sikhs.
The Shiromani Committee president said that the last date for submission of Shiromani Committee vote forms is February 29, but the trend of vote formation is disappointing so far.
If fewer votes are cast this time than in the 2011 elections, there will be a major disturbance in the official statistics of the number of Sikhs, which will severely affect the political, social and geographical position and direction of Sikhs as a minority community in India. That is why every proven Sikh must cast his and his family's vote for the Shiromani Committee elections, understanding his important national responsibility.
