Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Balbir Singh said here today that according to the visionary thinking of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the state government will leave no stone unturned to make Punjab an exemplary model in the field of employment. Under this commitment, the Health Department is fully prepared to advertise new vacancies to create more employment opportunities for the youth of the state.
Dr. Balbir Singh was presiding over a meeting with the employee unions of the department at the directorate office of the health department to carefully understand their grievances. Director Health and Family Welfare Dr. Adarshpal Kaur, Director Health Services (FW) Dr. Ravinderpal Kaur and Director ESI Dr. Seema were also present in this meeting.
He said that the previous governments have failed to resolve the rightful demands of the employees, due to which large scale unrest has arisen among the employees. The Health Minister said that he is holding meetings with the employee unions so that the grievances of the employees can be carefully understood and an amicable solution can be found in a timely manner. He said that the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is committed to fulfill the rightful demands of the employees.
He asked the employees to work honestly and diligently so that the common people do not face any kind of problem in getting health services. The minister also appealed to the employees not to resort to any kind of agitation for the fulfillment of their demands as the government is actively working to resolve all the related issues with full sincerity. Therefore, it is not necessary to put pressure on the government by using such tactics by putting the health of the people at stake.
In this meeting, Pharmacy Officers Association, Multipurpose Health Employees Union, Contract Staff Nurses Union, Ophthalmic Officers Union, ANM Union, Steno Typist Union, Statistical Assistant Union, Ward Attendant Union, MLT Union, PHSC Engineers Union, Covid Warriors Union, Rajindra Medical College Representatives of the Outsourced Employees Union were also present.
It may be mentioned that the union leaders expressed their satisfaction on the initiative of the health minister that he himself invited the employee organizations and listened to their complaints sympathetically.
