Aam Aadmi Party’s Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha has got a big relief from the Delhi High Court. The court said that Raghav Chadha will not have to vacate the existing type-7 government bungalow. The Delhi High Court has rejected the lower court’s decision to lift the interim stay on the proceedings of the Rajya Sabha Secretariat.

Justice Anup Jai Bhambhani, who is hearing the case, said that the stay order given by the lower court against the Rajya Sabha Secretariat will remain intact. The stay will remain in force until the trial court decides on their application for interim relief.

This means that the action of the Rajya Sabha Secretariat, in which the AAP MP was asked to vacate his type-7 government bungalow and shift to a flat, will remain in abeyance.

The High Court has pronounced its verdict on a petition related to the allotment of a government bungalow. The High Court has accepted Raghav Chadha’s appeal. Raghav will have to give his representation in the lower court within three days. He had challenged the trial court’s October 5 order here.

Justice Anup Jairam Bhambhani reserved his decision on October 12 after hearing this petition for two days. Meanwhile, the High Court verbally told the lawyer of the Rajya Sabha Secretariat that no action should be taken in this matter until the decision of the High Court comes.
