A tragic accident took place near Nabipur last night in which one foreign student died while 2 were seriously injured. According to the information received, there was a violent collision between a cab and a car and in the accident, a 22-year-old student of Zimbabwean origin, who came to study in Punjab, lost his life and 2 other students were injured.

The deceased has been identified as Kelton Tinotoda Mwamuka, a resident of Zimbabwe. The cousin of the deceased, Henry Tinotoda Makoni, Jogeza Harare, said that Kelton Tinotoda Mwamuka, a resident of Mutaro, Zimbabwe was studying B.Com at Gulzar Group of Colleges, Libra, Khanna (Ludhiana). Last night, Kelton was returning from Delhi airport with his 2 friends who came from Zimbabwe by hiring a cab. On reaching Nabipur, the cab driver rammed the vehicle behind an unknown truck in which Kelton Tinotoda Mwamuka (22) was killed. He died and two friends sitting with him in the cab were injured.

The complainant said that the accident happened due to the negligence of the cab driver as he was driving at a very high speed. A case has been registered against cab driver Karamjit Singh, a resident of Ludhiana.
