Two members of the drug smuggling gang across the inter-state border in Abohar have been arrested by the police of Thana Khuiyan Sarwar. The police have recovered 88000 drug pills from both the accused. The police have registered a case under the sections of the NDPS Act against both the accused. According to the information, ASI Manjit Singh along with the police party was going to Panniwala Mahala from village Kallarkhera during patrolling last evening. Meanwhile, the informant informed that Sukhchain Singh son of Kulveer Singh resident of village Azamwala and Lovepreet Singh son of Pyara Singh resident of village Mahmood Khan, Amirkhas, village Azamwala are in the business of selling large quantities of narcotic pills. Even today both are bringing drugs.

Based on the information, the police blocked the link road. The police stopped and searched a Swift car coming from the front. Meanwhile, 88 thousand drug pills were recovered from the car. The police seized the car and arrested both the accused and registered a case against them under section 22, 29, 61, 85 of the NDPS Act.

In this regard, police station in-charge Sunil Kumar said that criminal cases have already been registered against Sukhchain Singh, who was caught with drugs last night. He said that during the remand, the police will try to find out by interrogating them that since when these people have been dealing in drugs and where were they going to supply the recovered drug pills?
