Ludhiana CIA-2 team has arrested two smugglers who were supplying heroin. The accused have been identified as Chun-Mun Gupta and Shiv Yadav. 60 grams of heroin, around 98 thousand in cash, a bullet bicycle, Scorpio car, gold rings and electronic bracelets have been recovered from their possession.
The accused had pasted a police sticker on the Scorpio vehicle and used to supply heroin on it so that the police could not stop them at the checkpoint. At present, the accused have been produced in the court and taken on remand. ADCP Rupinder Kaur Saran, ACP Gurpreet Singh and CIA 2 in-charge Beant Juneja held a press conference.
He said that there was a blockade by his team near Arora Palace. Meanwhile, the police stopped the two accused riding a bullet bike on the basis of suspicion. When they were searched, 30 grams of heroin was recovered from them.
