The main cause of abnormal hair loss
Family history- Sometimes the main cause of thinning hair and baldness is family history.
Changes in hormones – Sometimes one experiences abnormal hair loss during PCOS, pregnancy and menopause.
Medical condition- Sometimes due to certain medical conditions like thyroid disorders, autoimmune diseases and nutritional deficiencies, a person faces the problem of excessive hair loss.
Medication- People who are taking medication for high blood pressure, cancer treatment and depression etc. also face abnormal hair loss.
Stress- Excessive stress triggers hair loss called telogen effluvium. In this, due to stress, the hair follicle enters the resting phase of the root.
Tight hairstyles- Making a tight ponytail or keeping the hair too tight also leads to the problem of abnormal hair fall.
