A young man has died in a road accident in Ferozepur. A 25-year-old youth who was walking from Setiawala village of Ferozepur towards Ferozepur cantonment was hit by a Scorpio vehicle. Due to which he was seriously injured. He was admitted to a private hospital in the city, where doctors declared him brought dead.
In the statements given to the police, Kamaljit Singh, a resident of Gobind Enclave, Setia Wala, said that his 25-year-old brother Kulwinder Singh was going to Ferozepur Cantonment on foot from his work. He had reached near the Hariyali petrol pump when Manjit Singh, a resident of Wajidpur, hit him hard with his Scorpio vehicle, due to which his brother was injured.
After which Kulwinder Singh was immediately taken to the hospital in an injured condition. Where the doctors declared him dead. Based on the complaint of the deceased’s brother, the police of Kulgarhi police station have registered a case against the accused. In this regard, ASI Mukhtiar Singh said that the accused is yet to be arrested.
