AIIMS nursing officer recruitment exam leak case , CBI raids

Chandigarh: The CBI on Friday arrested two private individuals in connection with the leak of the Common Eligibility Test (NORSET-4) conducted for the recruitment of nursing officers of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). In Chandigarh, Mohali, Haryana and Delhi, a lot of goods have been seized by raids at five locations associated with the accused.

The seized items include Network Video Recorder (NVR) CCTV footage, server laptops, CPUs of identified candidates, various mobile phones and TFTs. The CBI has not disclosed the names of the arrested accused, though it has been informed that the accused will be produced in court on Saturday.

In the (NORCET)-4 paper leak case, Haryana resident Ritu and Mohali’s Gyan Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology were booked under the Criminal Conspiracy, Cheating and IT Act. In this regard, AIIMS Associate Dean (Examination) Dr. Naval K Vikram had given a complaint to the CBI. He had told that AIIMS had conducted the NORCET-4 recruitment exam on June 3.

For all AIIMS in the country, four central government hospitals in Delhi and more than 300 centers for 3055 officials across the country on behalf of NITRD. In the late evening of June 5, some tweets went viral. In these, it was found that the question paper of Norset-4 taken on the morning of June 3 was leaked.

Meanwhile, screenshots of a candidate were going viral on social media. After this all the screenshots were checked. It is learned that it belongs to the accused Ritu from Sonepat who had applied online for the NORCET-4 examination. Further investigation revealed that he had selected the centers on a priority basis, with two centers in Mohali and Uttarakhand. They were allotted a center in Mohali by AIIMS.

Wrong methods were used by or by the accused Ritu through the computer system in the examination centre. After the exam, several photographs and screenshots of the question paper went viral on social media with complaints of cameras or mobile phones being switched off at exam centres. A case has been registered after this.
