A woman troubled by debt ended her life in Jalandhar

A mother of two children committed suicide in Army Enclave Phase-1 of Jalandhar Cantonment in Punjab. The deceased has been identified as 40-year-old Paramjit Kaur, wife of Amit Kumar. Postmortem of Paramjit's body will be done today. Along with this, the family members of the deceased have not expressed any suspicion on anyone, due to which the police have taken action under CRPC 174.

Raj Rani, a resident of Hoshiarpur, Mehtiana district, told the police that her daughter was married to Amit Kumar, a resident of Jalandhar cantonment, about 17 years ago. From whom he had two children, one of whom was 15 years old and the other 10 years old. He told the police that Paramjit Kaur used to work at Aam Aadmi Clinic.

Raj Rani told the police that Paramjit Kaur's husband Amit Kumar used to run a clinic in the village itself. Paramjit Kaur was worried about the loan for a long time. Due to which he took this step. The police will hand over the body to the family after the post-mortem today. After which the last rites of the deceased will be performed.

Sadar police station SHO Bharat Masih said that Paramjit Kaur committed suicide by hanging herself in her house. The dead body was first seen by his family members. After which the matter was reported to the police control room. Police did not find any suicide note from the spot. Neither the family has raised any suspicion on anyone. Because of this, the police did not take any action. Only one DDR report has been filed in the case.
